The 2D-READER-SS is automatic, 100%, fast, accurate, reliable and eliminates human- error; this means getting the highest yield from your manufacturing process. No other system can match the reliability of the Avtex system which utilizes machine vision technology, or a computer that can see. The machine employs state-of-the-art Cognex technology including a high-resolution camera, solid-state lighting, industrial optics, rugged S.S. fixture and computer with Artificial Intelligence in the form of a sophisticated computer program, or software algorithm called “vision tools”.
The Machine works using an integrated camera and LED lighting which are both focused on the subject 2D MARK from a fixed position away from the part. As each part passes in front of the camera a sensor is triggered and a digitized image is acquired. Then a sophisticated computer algorithm called PatMaxTM (Geometric Pattern Matching) analyzes and extracts quantitative information about the 2D MARK.
A line operator on the factory floor is able to quickly read the part mark. Pass/fail results, measurement data.
